When is a contact person required?

According to Estonian Commercial Code, Estonian companies whose management board is located abroad must have a contact person in Estonia. A contact person is mandatory already when establishing the company, and all official document exchange takes place through them.

A contact person must also be appointed when the company’s address is abroad or when board members are not located in Estonia.
